New Video and Current News!

POSTED BY The Iveys ON 12/1/10

Happy Holidays!

It has been awhile since we sent an email out to everyone on the mailing list, mostly been sending emails to people in the cities we'd be visiting all over the USA, so we wanted to say hello to everyone this time as we get closer to a BRAND NEW ViDEO for LEAVE IT TO LoVE!

I just spoke with the director yesterday,(we worked with the best crew in Texas, period!) & it is set to be released on YouTube this Friday, December, 3rd.  It will also be posted to our facebook wall at www.facebook.com/theiveys --Please go to facebook and RSVP for the event, it's under The Iveys events tab, and we probably sent you an event invite!  We really need your help to spread this video, send it to all your friends via email, post links on your facebook pages, watch it on youtube, leave comments, YOU all are our promotion team, and we would big time appreciate it! :) Let me just say.....you're going to love it!

We are back in El Paso for the holidays, been spending time with family as much as we can and also working on the new songs for the new CD.  All of us are excited to get back in the studio and lay down some fresh tracks very soon!

Traveling has influenced us in a good way, definitely has given us more song ideas, and given us amazing experiences that will stay with us forever.  All summer we were on the road, driving thousands of miles back and forth across Texas, the midwest (we love you Nebraska!) northwest, up to Seattle and down to LA. Went to the very first Starbucks, beaches along the coast, went up and down in San Francisco, and did it all over again on this most recent trip out there!

On the road for two weeks in early November, we had 12 shows, back to the coast by way of Albuquerque, Flagstaff, Phoenix, Tempe, out to Riverside, LA, up to San Fran, over to Vegas (it actually does get cold in Vegas, especially walking around from casino to casino at 4am...but I wasn't sposed to say....so don't say...haha!)

Went to Hoover Dam (tons of dam jokes:) and took tons of pics, I'll make sure we post a few more of the shots we took standing on the new bridge overlooking Hoover!

More News! -

Feels good to be back in West Texas, and we want everyone to know you can still order our current CD at theiveys.bigcartel.com , got a deal going on there, buy two get one free, (maybe for Christmas?? and we'll sign 'em if you like!) -also have t-shirts, guys and gals, last time for this Iveys design! We are grateful to all of you for keeping us in your thoughts, hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

More Stories from the Road!

POSTED BY The Iveys ON 7/15/09

More Stories from the road!

We are back at home after our tour, very safe and happy that things went so well!!
We also have some news about our Video "Back When It Was Our World" it will be shown on the Fuse On Demand channel! We hope you all will check it out and please demand our video!

The tour was so much fun! We had great shows in every town thanks to wonderful people. Now that we have some more time we can give you more info on the shows. In Santa Fe we had close friends from Colorado come to both of the shows we had there, we were so happy to see them! Our first show we played with a duet Jennings and Keller, they were amazing!! Their music is beautiful and we would definitely recommend that you listen to them.
The next day we got up and went in search of the Spiral Staircase Loretto, we plugged in the directions to the GPS and started down the road. Pretty soon the buildings thinned and we started seeing small farms as we climbed an uphill road. We all looked at each other as the paved road turned to dirt. This couldn't be the right way? We looked at the GPS and it said to keep going but the farther we went the less things we saw. "Um...isn't the Spiral Staircase located in downtown?" Jill asked. "Yeah," Jess replied "I don't think they would make people drive on a dirt road to see the Chapel."
So we all voted to turn around and apparently we had the wrong address typed in. We eventually found downtown Santa Fe, ha ha, there were streets instead of farms and paved roads instead of dirt ones, but hey the view was beautiful on that mountain!!
We finally got to see the beauty of the Staircase, and after that we spent the rest of the day in downtown looking at all the shops and other sites they have there.
We had a great show that night, we got to hear a musician by the name of John Courage who went on before us and we really enjoyed his performance!
The next day it was hard to say goodbye to our friends, we don't like goodbyes. We saw them to their car and then got in ours and headed to Lubbock!

(We know that many of you have been keeping up to date on our tour and other things via our email newsletter, but if you are not a part of the list and would like to join send an e-mail with the word "Yes" to band@theiveysmusic.com)

Our tour and Travel buddy!!!!!!!!!!

POSTED BY the iveys ON 6/23/09

So this is going to be a note/blog about the beginning of our tour!! Whoo!!

First we want to talk about Eeyore, our travel buddy!! You will be seeing him frequently throughout our tour, Just find him in the pics section! He was given to us by our little sister so we wouldn't be lonely and she says she wants to see a ton of pics!! So we put some up and will keep getting more!!

Our first night in Albuquerque, we were supposed to play at the Blackbird Buvette. We got everything set up and we were ready to play but then there were some complications and they canceled the show on us. There was a group of people sitting at the table as we started taking our equipment down, and they came over and asked us if we were going to play because they had come to see us.
We told them that some things had happened and they weren't going to let us play so one of them suggested that we head over to "Tim's House" set up and play there!
So we packed our gear and played, to amazing people and now they are great friends!!!

Tonight we played at Winning Coffee Co. and we had a blast!!! We got to see some friends that moved and we have been missing, some friends that came up from El Paso and the new friends we had made the night before!!! It was an awesome time with a great crowd and this has been a great start to our tour!!

Thanks to Tim and all our friends you guys have been great!!
